Appoint Parliamentary Select Committee to probe corruption – Kambwili* “I’ve laid evidence on the table, President Edgar Lungu is Corruption One”!
Former Minister of Information Chishimba Kambwili has called on the Speaker of the National Assembly to set up a special parliamentary select committee to probe serious allegations of corruption.
Speaking at a press conference at his House in Woodlands, Kambwili accused Dictator Edgar Lungu of being corrupt and harbouring his corrupt aides.
He stated that the Committee should focus on procurement of Ambulances at Ministry of Health, procurement of Fire tenders by Ministry of Local Government and the procurement of the Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriage-Way.
Kambwili who has called President Edgar Lungu as “Corruption 1”, said that Lungu harbours corrupt officials such as Special Assistant for Politics, Kaizer Zulu, Special Assistant for Press and Public Relations, Amos Chanda and Minister of Home Affairs, Stephen Kampyongo.
“You knew their financial standing before you appointed them. But today Kaizer Zulu owns a trademark, a shop in Dubai that trades his brand – Kaizer- bags and belts”
“The President knows that Kaizer Zulu has bought a lot of properties in Lusaka. Amos Chanda has bought a lot of properties in Lusaka! What more evidence is he asking for”.
“What more evidence do you want Mr. President for you to know that there is corruption or to act?”
” Am so shocked that me when they moved mere allegations and wrote a fake letter, one boy from Kabwe and Luanshya, there were allegations of corruption against me even before investigations you fired me!”
“President Edgar Lungu you are corruption number one. Kwena bakabolala balipama, batata balenjebati bakabolala balipama”!
“Today I have proved that cacine bakabolala balipama umutima, you are busy defending the ministers”
“When you have a government whose Ministers are plundering at will, the President is deeply involved in corruption and nothing is happening and he busy defending his ministers, people of Zambia I appeal to you protect your resources.”
We go into government to give a service to the people. It is clear that many of these people went into government to enrich themselves”.
“We know that you are involved in all this corruption. Stop pretending and stop plundering people’s resources. Busy defending Ministers.”
“Some of these Ministers have no shame including women that are busy stealing Mukula trees, working with Chinese, busy exporting Mukula, yet they have banned the sale of Mukula trees”!
“The President is the one defending them. This is what Chiluba used to say. This is what Rupiah Banda used to say”.
“Bamunyina namwe, what do you expect is the one defending them?”
